I am 43 years old and recently underwent surgery to treat a compression fracture in one of my thoracic vertebrae. After several months of using pain medication and getting only marginal relief, I looked for alternative therapies to relieve the pain I was still feeling around my surgical incisions. Dr. Adam C. Massoud at Greenwich Wellness suggested low level laser therapy (cool lasers) to treat my chronic pain. After just one treatment I could really feel a difference. The pain relief was both immediate and long-lasting, and my range of motion was better than it had been in months. One very active day a couple of days after my first treatment I realized that I had hardly had any pain at all - a first since my surgery and something I can only attribute to the cool laser treatment by Dr. Massoud. I highly recommend this treatment for anyone looking for relief from pain.

Dr. Massoud,
I wanted to thank you for the recent improvement of my overall health.
I have had Lyme disease, Cytomegalovirus, and a neck injury for several years. As a result it has been increasingly difficult for me to find a way to maintain my health. Due to the fact that I have a busy schedule my visits to other practitioners in the past were sporadic and I would go only when I was in enough pain to stop me from functioning properly. I would go and get a little relief but nothing more; the treatments did not seem to provide everything I needed.

I was referred to you from another health care provider who spoke very highly of you and suggested I make an appointment. I did not expect much since I had been to every type of doctor before. All of them had a different technique, which helped a little, but never brought me to the point where I was excited about continuing treatment.

I am very impressed that after only one month of your treatments plus the whole food purification/detoxification program you prescribed I have seen a dramatic improvement in how I feel. My mobility has come back to a point where it was twenty years ago, especially in my neck and shoulders. The constant pain I felt for years from my condition has subsided and I am optimistic about the future. I look forward to doing the things I enjoy that used to be too painful in the past.

Your ability to assess the problem and get to the root cause is second to none. For the first time ever I can confidently say that I have found a doctor that actually heals their patients!

Sincerely,
Ivo

At fifteen years old I sustained a severe lower back injury which eventually deteriorated the overall health of my spine significantly. By twenty I had limited range of motion through out my entire back. I was very active and an exceptional athlete my entire life, however, since being wrought with debilitating pain which ultimately led to weakness and immobility, which finally led to emotional depression. I sought care from a plethora of physicians: Orthopedics, Neurologists, Physiatrists and the like, but to no avail. I finally sought out a chiropractor and my condition improved only slightly. For roughly five years I saw over twenty different chiropractic physicians who administered varied forms of care and my overall being improved drastically. I reached a point where the pain was still unbearable at times but compared to how I was in the past I was relatively content.

I finished college and returned to Connecticut weary about the chiropractic care out here relative to the care I was receiving in Boulder, CO. (A haven for good chiropractic). Given my acquired knowledge of the spine from seeing so many chiropractic physicians over the years I developed a keen ability to recognize pain and deficiency in my spine even if it was very sleight. I also developed the ability to differentiate good physicians from the bad ones. After my first visit with Dr. Adam Massoud, all of the care I received prior to his, now seems mediocre at best.

Dr. Adam Massoud's ability to locate pain in one's body and interpret where it originates from is second to none. I have a game with him which I play now, which he has won more often then not. I do not tell him where my back is out of place and where my pain is because I want too see if he can find it without any of my help. Literally, as he assesses my spine on his table as I lie face down, he pokes and prods until he finds the problematic area and holds his fingers there as I wince in pain and proceeds to say "This is where you are off." That said,I am taken back by his talent to hone in on the real problems I have and fix them. I feel better than I have in years and now I am convinced that my overall quality of life has not plateaued and that I can continually improve my well being.

I have been able to get back in the gym and work out, ski and play competitive sports again. Dr. Massoud has enabled me to live a normal life again.

As you are aware, I have suffered from a gradually "evolving" array of symptoms and pain throughout my body for more than half of my life. For approximately 15 years I went to many medical specialists to address isolated issues, chronic pain in my wrists, chronic neck pain, digestion difficulties. As the years passed, I began to experience fatigue and an overall feeling of lack of well being (sleep disturbance, significant weight gain which was partially the result of the medicines being prescribed to address my symptoms, muscle and joint pain throughout my entire body, poor concentration, and a feeling of hopelessness regarding never having a day without pain and fatigue).

I finally went to a doctor who diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia. I was sent to many specialists who ruled out Lupus, Lyme's Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Neurological difficulties. With the diagnosis came the message, "You have to learn to live with it." So now I had a name for my symptoms and chronic pain, but not real answer in how to treat it and improve the quality of my life. With the diagnosis, I tried all kinds of medical treatments and interventions including traditional physical therapy and physical therapy in warm water, acupuncture, chiropractic care, traditional medicine which was treating each of my individual symptoms with minimal relief.

Within the first few days, I noticed a significant difference in my adverse symptoms, which as I mentioned I had experienced for over half of my life. As I noticed a remarkable relief in my usual symptom picture, I began to feel confident that I could begin to discontinue some of my typical medicines I was on; after all, if I was cleansing my body, taking traditional medicine seemed contrary to this process. I had always been so fearful to stop taking my traditional medications since historically experimenting in this way usually led to an unbearable amount of pain. But I also was in conflict about having to take so many medications with so little improvement in my symptoms and quality of life. Gradually, I began to remove the muscle relaxing agents, the anti-inflammatory agents, the sleeping medication, the anti-acids, and the diuretic medication and to my utter amazement I began to feel less fatigue, better concentration, and a more restful sleep.

However, I began to experience increased heart burn, which Dr. Massoud acknowledged was a result of years and years of treatment with anti-acids which rid my system of the necessary amount of acid to digest and absorb nutrients from my food intake. With this he provided a natural alternative to assist in restoring my digestive system. In a relatively short period of time (approximately 2 – 3 weeks) I began to experience a remarkable improvement in how I felt, unlike any other treatment or intervention I had tried over more than 20 years. The SP Cleanse program taught me that what you put in your body does matter, despite being told by countless professionals that "diet" could not effect change for my symptoms.

I have changed my life style; I eat much more nutritionally and generally feel well. Now, I am "not perfect" but I have experienced a remarkable improvement in my symptoms and my quality of life for a condition where most doctors tell you, very ignorantly, "You have to learn to live with it." Thank you Dr. Massoud. Now my goal is to maintain the improved health I am experiencing and I look forward to continuing our work together toward this goal.

Dr. Adam Massoud,

I would like to thank you for bringing me back on the road to recovery. When I first started to see you, I did not know if there was any hope for me. I had come off my fourth elbow surgery due to a chronic baseball injury. I had no real positive expectations. My situation was desperate, but after a few months of therapy, I not only improved, I actually have been able to get back onto the baseball diamond. I feel better now than I have felt in years. I know that I feel this way from a combination of the adjustments, nutrition, and advice from you. I believe that any patient will benefit from your treatment. By the end of this summer, with continued therapy, I will have my 90mph fastball back again.

Thank You,
Daniel

I have been in and out of chiropractic offices for the past 20 years trying "this and that" approach to relieving chronic neck, back and hip pain. In just 18 months, I have reaped the benefit of consistent, progressive results working with Dr. Adam Massoud, and I couldn't be happier! He is truly a gifted and committed chiropractic practitioner! He has a deep knowledge of bio-mechanics, an innate ability to explain the bio-mechanics in layman's terms, and an intuitive understanding of his client's needs that are unmatched in my opinion and experience. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone interested in really getting noticeable, and lasting, chiropractic results.
